When you create an account we collect your email address, chosen username, and any profile details you voluntarily add (avatar, bio). We store this to operate your account and your wall.
When someone sends a message to a wall, we store the message content, type, and a one-way SHA-256 hash of the sender's IP address. We never store the raw IP. The hash is used only for rate limiting and spam prevention — it cannot be reversed to identify a person.
We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads. We do not track you across other websites. We do not share your information with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g. Supabase for database hosting).
We use cookies solely for authentication — to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your data is stored as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, wall, and all associated messages.
TellMe uses Supabase for database and authentication. Their privacy policy applies to data processed on their infrastructure. We use Vercel for hosting. No other third-party data processors are involved.
TellMe is intended for users aged 13 and over. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, please use TellMe with parental awareness.
You are responsible for your account and anything posted through it. Keep your login credentials secure. You may not create accounts for others or impersonate real people.
You agree not to use TellMe to send or publish content that:
Wall owners are responsible for the content they accept and publish to their wall. You have full control — you can reject, hide, or delete any message at any time. We trust you to moderate your own space responsibly.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We may also remove content that is reported and found to violate our policies. We will try to notify you if we take action against your account unless doing so would be unsafe or legally prohibited.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users of significant changes via email.
